Gilgeous-Alexander, 23, was selected 11th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2018 NBA Draft – then traded to Oklahoma City in the deal that sent Paul George to L.A.

This season, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 22.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 42%/28%/81% shooting splits.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s efficiency has been markedly lower this season than it was in the previous year when he averaged 23.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists on 51%/42%/81% shooting splits.

The Thunder are clearly trying to be cautious with Gilgeous-Alexander; who’s signed to a five-year max contract that kicks in next year.
