Swingman Carson Newsome (199-F/G-1998, college: Graceland) was tied for the best scorer of the day in the world with the 42 points he had in the TBL. Newsome graduated from Graceland University three years ago. However that means way more coming from the NBA. Despite his strong performance, his team the Lake County Legacy lost to the St. Louis Griffins 115 to 136. He also grabbed 7 rebounds that game. He participated in the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas 2 years ago. It helped him to get more exposure and attract teams overseas. For new university graduates looking to enter pro basketball this is a great first step in the right direction! Newsome won TBL Pacific Northwest Division Regular Season in 2024. Interesting fact as Newsome had played in three different colleges in his career.
