Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is one of the top players in the game regardless of position. The way this guy can dominate a game on either end of the floor is very impressive and he can throw the Sixers on his back at any moment in order to get them to a victory.
He led the league in scoring in the 2021-22 season at 30.6 per game and he pulled down 11.7 rebounds with 4.2 assists. He also shot 49.9% from the floor and 37.1% from deep all while being double-teamed every game and being the focus of opposing defenses every single night.
This would make Embiid a fantasy basketball commodity. The big fella comes in ranked 10th in nba.com’s early fantasy basketball rankings:
Embiid has been a top-five player in per-game value in each of the last two seasons, but were his 68 games played in 2021-22 the best-case scenario?
Availability is always a big concern with Embiid. When it comes to fantasy basketball, can a fantasy player count on him on a nightly basis? That’s something that he will have to prove before he can move up in the rankings for the future.
