Within 24 hours of tearing his ACL, Kyrie Irving was on Instagram live spreading love and making sure his fans knew he was okay.
Irving took a hard fall on his home court against the Kings on Monday night and stayed down on the floor for a long while.

In Kobe Bryant fashion, he was helped to the free throw line to shoot his free throws.

He was then ruled out for the rest of the game with a left ‘knee sprain’, but further testing discovered it was a torn ACL.
Irving addressed his fans on an Instagram live after the news broke.
“The recovery process has already started mentally, spiritually, emotionally. Just want to let you guys know I’m okay and I will be okay moving forward. I will be back. I will be better. I don’t want to question any of God’s work or God’s planning.”
He added, “…This is not the end of the story… Don’t let anybody ever tell you to give up…When you fall down nine times, you get up 10. I don’t know any other strategy, it’s just when you fall down, you get back up. There’s no time to feel bad for yourself or feel sorry…I have breath in my lungs, I’m good…I love you guys.”
Irving also expressed his gratitude for all the fans that have sent him well wishes and messages.
“Just wanted to hop on here and say thank you to the good energy sent not only my way, but my family’s way,” Irving said. “This one hurts, for sure. It hurts. It’s painful to deal with this at this point.”
Luka Doncic put up multiple Instagram stories about Kyrie’s injury and said in one of them, “You will come back stronger mi hermano!”
LeBron James said on X, “Prayers sent up to Ky” with some prayer emojis.
Another one of Kyrie’s former teammate at the Cavs, Kevin Love also wished Kyrie well.
“Man…devastating for Ky,” he wrote on X. “Love you my brother and speedy recovery. You mean so much to this game!!!”
