CelticsBlog is excited to announce a partnership with the streaming platform Playback.
Playback is an emerging new outlet that is giving fans an alternative way to consume and engage with the NBA. Similar to the NFL’s Manningcast on ESPN, fans are now able to watch games with some of their favorite podcasters and writers. The experience on Playback is a blend of feeling like you’re watching the game with your buddies at the bar combined with listening a podcast that is specifically narrating the Celtics game live.
Luckily for Celtics fans, the vibes inside the Playback room this season have been mostly positive – like when Kristaps Porzingis and Jaylen Brown showed off their new friendship and on-court chemistry against the Bucks:
But as Celtics fans know though, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing this season and that’s where Playback is a place to build your fan community. We get to experience the ups and downs of the game and the season together, through the lows of experiencing what felt like a dagger three from Tyrese Maxey to the high of Derrick White coming to the rescue:
Another fun capability that Playback offers is the ability to bring audience members up “on stage.” We are excited to utilize this feature, particularly at halftime. Audience members can request to join the CelticsBlog hosts “on stage” to express their anguish over Joe Mazzulla not calling a timeout during an opponent’s 12-0 run or their joy with how Al Horford continues to defy the laws of time at 37 years of age.
