Vangelis Mantzaris
Pallacanestro Roseto (Serie B) signed 33-year old Greek ex-international guard Vangelis Mantzaris (196cm-1990) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Mantzaris played this summer at Panteras in Venezuelan SPB league. In 20 games just recently he had 5.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 4.4apg.
He was also a member of Greek international program for some years. Mantzaris played for Greek Senior National Team between 2011 and 2020 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2010.
He represented Greece at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) six years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 2.7ppg.
Mantzaris is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Poland (Stal), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Greece (Peristeri, Olympiacos, PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, AEK Athens and Promitheas) and Spain (Bilbao). Mantzaris won Greek League championship title in 2012, 2015 and 2016 and made it to the cup final in 2012, 2018 and 2020. He was voted to Eurobasket.com Greek A1 League All-Defensive Team back in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
