Talented Bogoljub Markovic (204-F-2005) put on an amazing game in the last round for league’s leader Mega SM and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents JLS Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 17-year old forward had the game-high 36 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Mega SM in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Partizan BG (#6, 10-11) 90-85. It allowed Mega SM to consolidate first place in the Serbian JLS. Mega SM has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 21-1. In the team’s last game Markovic had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Mega SM’s top player in his first season with the team. Markovic has impressive league stats. He is league’s best scorer averaging so far 23.0ppg. Markovic is in league’s top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.2rpg) and averages solid 1.6bpg and 69.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Bojan Dulovic (2004) of Sloboda U.. Dulovic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Sloboda U. lost that game 83-88 to slightly lower-ranked Konstantin Nis (#12, 2-20). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Sloboda U. keeps 11th position. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Sloboda U. managed to get this year. Dulovic is one of the most experienced players at Sloboda U. and has a reputation of one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#9). He also registered 6.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Luka Draskovic (2004) of Konstantin Nis (#12). Draskovic got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Konstantin Nis, leading his team to a 88-83 win against slightly higher-ranked Sloboda U. (#11, 3-19). Konstantin Nis can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-20 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Draskovic has individually a great season in Serbia. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 18.1ppg (7th best).

7. Marko Djordjevic (193-G/F-2004) of Zitko Basket – 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Aleksej Ostovic (2004) of Zitko Basket – 20 points and 12 rebounds
9. Martin Burda (180-PG-2005) of Spartak – 26 points and 8 assists
10. Predrag Panisic (2004) of Radnicki KG – 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
