Center Artem Oreshnikov (205-C-2004) had a very impressive game in the last round for Lokomotiv-2, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 18-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, eight rebounds) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Parma-2 (#11, 5-23) 102-87. Lokomotiv-2 maintains the 3rd position in Russian VTB-Youth League. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Lokomotiv-2 will need more victories to improve their 21-7 record. It’s Oreshnikov’s second year at Lokomotiv-2 and it’s hard to imagine this team without him. Artem Oreshnikov has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in points (8th best: 13.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 8.7rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 67.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Egor Vanin (215-C-2004, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) of league’s second-best Runa-2. Vanin had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Runa-2 to another comfortable win 71-56 over the lower-ranked N.Novgorod-2 (#7, 16-14) being unquestionably team leader. Runa-2’s second position in the standings has not changed. His team’s 23-7 record is not bad at all. Vanin is well-known at Runa-2 and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Andrey Pechkin (206-C-2002) of Avtodor-2 (#10). Pechkin scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Avtodor-2, leading his team to a 82-53 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Enisey-2 (#9, 7-21). Avtodor-2 can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 7-23 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Pechkin has a very solid season. In 22 games in Russia he scored 12.7ppg. He also has 6.2rpg and FGP: 52.1%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
