Zeleznicar C. will play next round against Morava trying to get back on the winning streak. Joker S. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Mladost SP at Smederevska Palanka.
Undefeated Pirot (4-1) recorded its first loss in Beograd on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by eighth ranked Beko (1-4) 86-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Pirot. The best player for the winners was Vuk Borovicanin who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Vuk Vasic produced 24 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Beko left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Pirot still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Beko will meet Radnicki 1950 (#7) in the next round. Pirot will play against Radnik SU (#5) in Surdulica and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: Morava lost to Gajdobra on the opponent’s court 63-78. Klik A. managed to outperform Mladost SP in a home game 80-73. Radnik SU recorded a loss to Borac ZM on the road 99-86. Slodes BG was defeated by Zitko Basket on its own court 77-90. Radnicki 1950 beat Napredak in Kragujevac 89-77.

Group A

Gajdobra – Morava 78-63

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Morava (1-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked Gajdobra (3-2) 78-63 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Predrag Radovanovic (-1996) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Center Dragan Maric (204-1993) chipped in 12 points. Four Gajdobra players scored in double figures. Center Borko Djordjevic (210-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Stefan Sretenovic (188-1998) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gajdobra maintains third place with 3-2 record behind leader Joker S., which they share with 3 other teams. Morava lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Gajdobra will meet at home league’s second-placed Radnicki KG in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Morava will play against Zeleznicar C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
