The Regular Season in BNXT League just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Leuven Bears edged Spirou Charleroi at home 83-81. American guard KeVaughn Allen (188-1995, college: Florida) fired 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward John Fulkerson (206-1997, college: Tennessee) chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds. Puerto Rican-Panamanian point guard Jhivvan Jackson (183-1998, college: UTSA) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for lost side. Spirou Charleroi’s coach tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Spirou Charleroi will play next round against strong Liege Basket trying to get back on the winning streak. Leuven Bears will try to continue on its current victory against Antwerp Giants on the road.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Leeuwarden at the home court. Hosts were edged by Yoast Utd. 94-92. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian forward Francis Lacis (201-1999, college: ORU) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Mike Schilder contributed with 21 points and 9 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Keevan Veinot (193, college: Dalhousie) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds for Leeuwarden. Yoast Utd. will play against BAL Weert at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leeuwarden will play against Groningen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game where Den Bosch beat host Zwolle with 17-point difference 80-63 on Sunday evening. Thomas van der Mars stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Den Bosch’s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Ryan Davis responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Den Bosch will meet Amsterdam on the road in the next round. Zwolle will play against Feyenoord in Rotterdam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

winless Feyenoord defeated Amsterdam in Rotterdam 81-63. Brussels beat Mechelen at home 81-73. Winless Belfius Mons lost to undefeated Limburg on the opponent’s court 79-101. Liege managed to outperform Aalst in a home game 82-73.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Leeuwarden at the home court. Hosts were edged by Yoast Utd. 94-92. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. There was a minor upset when Amsterdam was defeated at home by Feyenoord 81-63 on Friday. Feyenoord made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Feyenoord outrebounded Amsterdam 35-23 including 23 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Feyenoord made 7 blocks. American swingman Trey Diggs (198-1999, college: BGSU) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and American guard Stacy Beckton Jr (193-1998, college: American) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side center Mees van’t Hoff (208-2001) responded with 17 points and Lithuanian Deividas Kumelis (188-1995) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Four Amsterdam players scored in double figures. Amsterdam’s coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Feyenoord will meet at home Zwolle in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Amsterdam will play against Den Bosch and hope to win that game.
