The most important game in the last round took place in Perm between third ranked Khimki-2 (29-9) and sixth ranked Parma-2 (24-14) on Monday night. Khimki-2 was defeated by Parma-2 on the road 93-79. Parma-2 forced 19 Khimki-2 turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Lev Svinin (204-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Ivan Egorov (189-2005, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 29 points. Parma-2’s coach Anton Kataev used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Bronislav Smirnov (184-2005) who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Parma-2 moved-up to fifth place. Khimki-2 at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Parma-2 are looking forward to face Avtodor-2 (#12) in Saratov in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Khimki-2 will play at home against Lokomotiv-2 (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Krasnodar supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Zenit-2 (25-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Lokomotiv-2 (15-21). Zenit-2 smashed Lokomotiv-2 98-73. It was a good game for point guard Semen Burinskiy (183-2005) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 7 assists. Mikhail Presnyakov contributed with 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Alexandr Molofeev (195-2006) replied with 20 points and 6 steals for Lokomotiv-2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 25-13 record. Lokomotiv-2 at the other side keeps the eighth place with 21 games lost. Zenit-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lokomotiv-2 will play on the road against Khimki-2 (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Kazan, where higher ranked N.Novgorod-2 (23-15) lost to tenth ranked UNICS-2 (13-25) in a road game 66-76 on Monday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of N.Novgorod-2. Worth to mention a great performance of Magomednabi Khalilulaev who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Yaroslav Anikin with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UNICS-2 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Samara-2. Loser N.Novgorod-2 keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. UNICS-2 will meet at home league’s second-placed MBA-2 in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. N.Novgorod-2 will play against Enisey-2 (#13) and hope to secure a win.

There was no surprise in Moscow where 12th ranked Avtodor-2 (9-29) was defeated by second ranked MBA-2 (33-7) 74-56 on Monday. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Avtodor-2‘s 18. They outrebounded Avtodor-2 47-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Timofey Shikalov (195-2006) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and center Viktor Shiryaev (204-2005) who added 11 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Anton Suschik (210-2005) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and guard Sergey Skotnikov (187-2005) scored 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBA-2 have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 33-7 record behind leader CSKA-Junior. Loser Avtodor-2 keeps the twelfth place with 29 games lost. MBA-2 will meet UNICS-2 (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. It was a great shooting night for Samara-2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ilya Zaytcev (193-2005) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Egor Chirkov (193-2005) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest.
