It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of ratiopharm Ulm. The former international Karim Jallow (198-1997) answered with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for Ulm. ratiopharm Ulm’s coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ludwigsburg moved-up to fourth place. Ulm at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bayern. Rasta Vechta managed to escape with a 3-point win 91-88 on Thursday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Tyger Campbell who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists. Barra Njie came up with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for Braunschweig in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rasta Vechta have a solid series of four victories in a row. Despite that victory Vechta went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Chemnitz. Loser Braunschweig dropped to the third place with seven games lost. Vechta will meet at home league’s leader Bayern in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Braunschweig will play against Chemnitz and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Bottom-ranked Goettingen was beaten by Hamburg on the road 91-82. Weissenfels lost to Bamberg on its own court 69-87. Oldenburg managed to outperform Wuerzburg in a road game 112-102. Bonn recorded a loss to Chemnitz at home 80-84. Heidelberg was defeated by Rostock on the opponent’s court 88-82. Braunschweig smashed Vechta in a home game 103-70.


Hamburg – Goettingen 91-82

No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked Hamburg Towers (8-9) beat at home bottom-ranked BG Goettingen (1-15) 91-82 on Saturday. Hamburg outrebounded Goettingen 39-23 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jaizec Lottie (188-1998, college: Flagler) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. South Sudanese-American power forward Kur Kuath (208-1998, college: Marquette) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. American guard Deion Hammond (193-1999, college: Monmouth, agency: One Motive Sports) came up with 30 points and the other American import power forward Demajeo Wiggins (208-1997, college: BGSU, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Goettingen in the defeat.
