Manisa Basket (BSL) landed 30-year old South Sudanese-Australian ex-international 213cm center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. (college: Baylor). Lual-Acuil already started the season at Liaoning Flying Leopards in Chinese CBA league. In 10 games he averaged 11.6ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.7apg, 1.2spg and 2.0bpg. He was a member of South Sudanese Senior National Team two years ago.
Lual-Acuil is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on five different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Australian, African and of course North American leagues. Lual-Acuil has played previously professionally in Hungary (Atomeromu), Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem and Galil Elion), Lebanon (Dynamo), Australia (United and Sabres), Libya (Ahly Benghazi) and NBA Summer League (Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings). His team won Australian NBL Regular Season in 2021, 2022 and 2024. He was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Center of the Year in 2022 and 2024.
Lual-Acuil graduated from Baylor University in 2018 and it is his seventh season in pro basketball. He played also for Neosho County Community College for 2 years.
