American-British Center Kaj-Bjorn Sherman (213-C-1992, agency: Helping Ballers) had a great game in the last round for Servigroup Benidorm, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 16 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to UAF Lucentum (#5, 13-8) 86-97. Benidorm maintains the 4th position in their group in the Spanish EBA. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Benidorm will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 14-8 record. Sherman turned to be Benidorm‘s top player in his first season with the team. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman averages this season 15.8ppg and 8.9rpg.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Unai Barandalla (195-G/F-2002) of league’s leader Surne Bilbao Basket. Barandalla had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Surne Bilbao lost that game 77-99 to the lower-ranked Getxo (#4, 16-9). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A-A. Bilbao still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team’s 3rd loss this season, while they won 22 other games. Barandalla is well-known at Bilbao and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#4). He also registered 5.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Swedish Einar Bradd (195-SF-2000) of CB Santurtzi SK (#13). Bradd got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . He was a key player of Santurtzi, leading his team to a 105-53 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Venta de Banos (#14, 1-23). Santurtzi can only dream about fighting for top spots in A-A. They have rather bad season and 5-20 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bradd has a very solid season. In 25 games in Spain he scored 14.1ppg.

8. Kelvyn Montano (2000) of Jovens – 31 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Spas Nikolov (208-C-1997) of Huerva – 25 points and 8 rebounds
10. Eduardo Perdomo (192-SF-1992) of Guimar – 24 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
