American B.J. Johnson (201-G/F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Parma-Pari Perm and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 28-year old swingman had the game-high 33 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for Parma-Pari in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Astana (#11, 8-13) 86-76. Parma-Pari maintains the 6th position in VTB United League . Parma-Pari is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-12 record. Johnson turned to be Parma-Pari‘s top player in his first season with the team. La Salle University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league’s top in points (2nd best: 20.0ppg) and assists (2nd best: 0.9apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young American guard Malik Newman (190-G-1997) of Avtodor Saratov. Newman impressed basketball fans with 30 points. Bad luck as Avtodor lost that game 88-98 to the higher-ranked Lokomotiv (#3, 15-6). This loss caused Avtodor to drop to 10th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 9-12 record. Newman is a newcomer at Avtodor and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Andrey Martyuk (211-PF-2000) of Lokomotiv Kuban (#3). Martyuk scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Lokomotiv, leading his team to a 98-88 win against the lower-ranked Avtodor (#10, 9-12). Lokomotiv needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 6 lost games. Martyuk has a very solid season. In 20 games in VTB United League he scored 10.4ppg. He also has 4.3rpg and a FGP of 67.5%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
