Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis aggravated a left eye injury during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as reported by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
Davis sustained the injury late in the first quarter when he was inadvertently hit in the face by Wolves forward Kyle Anderson while scoring off an offensive rebound, leading him to immediately exit the game for evaluation.
Despite the setback, there is optimism that Davis could return to action as soon as Tuesday, which is critical for the Lakers as they face the Golden State Warriors in a pivotal matchup with significant postseason implications.
