BC Igokea Mtel Aleksandrovac (Division I) signed 26-year old Serbian international power forward Borisa Simanic (210cm-1998) for upcoming 2024-25 season. He has played for the last two years at Casademont Zaragoza in Spanish Liga Endesa.
He has been also a member of the Serbian international program for some years. Simanic has regularly played for the Serbian senior team since 2020 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2018.
He also represented Serbia at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia last year. His team won Silver and he had 1 points per game.
Simanic is quite experienced player. He has played also in Serbia (Crvena zvezda, BC Mega MIS Beograd and KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd), Bosnia (Buducnost Prolab Bijeljina) and NBA Summer League (Utah Jazz and Utah Jazz).
Among many awards he played in the final of Serbian League in 2021. Simanic was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention back in 2019.
