Sports analyst Skip Bayless is not convinced that Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook can function together on the Lakers, especially if the former starts taking the latter’s minutes.
His comment came after Pat Bev’s introductory press conference which was attended by Russ. The two point guards that have a history of clashing on the court appeared in a friendly mood. That was not enough for Bayless to think that it will be all good between the two players going forward.
“PatBev will do everything in his professional power to make it work with Russ. But – despite the show Westbrook put on today as PatBev was introduced to the media – he will once again PB’s worst enemy if PB starts taking Russ’ minutes. Russ is about Russ, not winning,” the co-host of UNDISPUTED tweeted.
The tweet was spotted by Beverley who responded publicly. “Naw Skip I have a good feeling about this🙏🏾🏀,” the 34-year-old point guard tweeted.
