Zalgiris Kaunas dominated Anadolu Efes with a remarkable 44-14 lead in the second period, securing a 96-70 home victory.
With a comfortable 30-point advantage, Zalgiris secured their ninth win in 24 games, while Efes now stands at 9-14. Adding to the setback, Efes lost center Dan Oturu to a knee injury in the second half.
Laurynas Birutis led Zalgiris with 18 points and eight rebounds, supported by Rolands Smits, Brady Manek, and Edgaras Ulanovas contributed 13 points each.
Despite efforts from Efes’ Will Clyburn (19 points) and Tibor Pleiss (17 points), they could only reduce the deficit to 16 points (78-62) in the fourth quarter. Zalgiris responded with a 10-2 run, securing a comfortable victory.
