The 76ers bolstered their front court by signing free agent Montrezl Harrell to a two-year contract (second year is a player option).
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, superstar James Harden played a part in bringing the 28-year-old center to Philadelphia by giving more financial flexibility to his team as he took a pay cut this offseason and also recruiting his former Rockets teammate himself.
Harrell split last season between the Wizards and the Hornets, averaging 13.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2 assists in 23.1 minutes per game.
