After a few days’ rest for both teams, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves will meet up at 9 p.m. ET April 29 at Target Center. The Grizzlies should still be feeling good after a win, while Minnesota will be looking to get back in the win column.
Memphis is hoping for another victory. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 111-109 win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday. Point guard Ja Morant and power forward Brandon Clarke were among the main playmakers for Memphis as the former almost posted a triple-double on 30 points, 13 rebounds, and nine dimes and the latter dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 boards.
Barring any buzzer beaters, Memphis is expected to win a tight contest Friday. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past two games, so buyers beware.
Memphis’ win brought them up to 3-2 while Minnesota’s defeat pulled them down to a reciprocal 2-3. A couple offensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Grizzlies come into the matchup boasting the second most points per game in the league at 115.6.
