Udonis Haslem accused Draymond Green of breaking the “code” after Green predicted the Golden State Warriors would face the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
The Heat beat the Celtics 111-103 in Game 6 to force a Game 7.
“Draymond broke the code,” Haslem told Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports. “You ain’t supposed to say some s— like that. That’s disrespectful. He know better than that.”
Green made his initial remarks on “Inside the NBA” after the Warriors defeated the Mavs in Game 5 on Thursday to win the series. Shaquille O’Neal asked Green who he wanted to face in the NBA Finals.
“I’m going to tell you who I think we’re going to play. We’re going to play Boston,” said Green. “That’s who we’re going to play.”
Other Heat players chimed in on Green’s comments.
“I don’t know what part of the game is that,” said P.J. Tucker. “A player picking a team before they’re out. That’s crazy, bro.”
Game 7 between the Celtics and Heat takes place on Sunday.
