It had never really occurred to Haliburton to slow down. He was taught that the game is an open floor, and he learned to read it with the help of a PlayStation. “Honestly, a lot of my hoop knowledge in knowing how to play comes from video games,” he says. “When you’re playing 2K and you’re on that camera angle where you can see everything ahead of you, that’s how I think sometimes.”

Tyrese Haliburton is transforming Indiana’s style, culture, and future—one hit-ahead outlet pass at a time. Can he attract other stars to the Pacers?

Most players are brought in to fill a role or address a weakness. The Pacers brought in Tyrese Haliburton to change everything. My feature on the magnetic young point guard shifting his whole franchise into overdrive: theringer.com/nba/2023/11/13… – 9:24 AM

Sixers beat the Pacers 137-126. The Pacers found better formulas late, but a slow start cost them, and the Sixers were better in the final minutes.
Haliburton had 25 and 17, but Maxey and Embiid combined for 87. They were excellent. Pacers are 6-4. Another one in Philly Tuesday. – 8:19 PM

Too bad the Sixers couldn’t have traded for Haliburton. He woulda been a perfect number 3 option. 🙃 – 8:18 PM

The Sixers are a few hours away from facing the best opposing guard they’ll have seen to date.

“I play a style of basketball that people want to play,” Haliburton says. “I think that’s part of the reason why they signed me to the deal they signed me to. I’ve got long-term stability here because they know that I can help bring people here—not only with who I am as a basketball player, but who I am as a person.” -via The Ringer / November 13, 2023
