Steph Curry is not expected to be out for long, according to Golden State Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr. Curry missed Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves with a sore right hand.
Curry hurt his right hand during Friday night’s game in Chicago when he took an awkward fall while driving to the bucket. Kerr shared an important update on Curry’s injury situation prior to the game against Minnesota.
“They both (Curry and Warriors’ director of sports medicine) feel good about where Steph is, and they don’t think it’s going to be a long-term thing,” Kerr said. “We’re hopeful he’ll play on Tuesday. He’s doing well,” Kerr said, per Ron Kroichick of SF Chronicle.
The Warriors begin a seven-game homestand against Detroit on Tuesday night. He could be back as soon as next Warriors’ game.
Gary Payton II is also nursing a back injury and also missed Sunday’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It’s unclear if he will be ready to come back for Tuesday’s contest vs Detroit.
