The Warriors suffered their sixth straight loss on Saturday and not even Steph Curry’s return could bring the franchise any joy.
Curry returned from a knee injury on Saturday night against OKC, which resulted in an 130-123 overtime heartbreak for the Dubs.
Steph says the whole team will need to rally to find their way out of the hole.
“During this losing streak, we’ve got a little rattled,” Curry said, “So, we gotta figure that piece out. Missing Draymond is tough. I was out for two games. Seems like a perfect storm of everything. So, we have to maintain confidence in ourselves and our ability to figure things out. But, it’s gonna take everybody.”
Golden State will be missing Draymond Green for four more games due to suspension.
New recruit Chris Paul hasn’t been hitting shots in a reliable fashion.
While Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins are in awful form – some of the worst of their careers.
Steph says that a win in the board is very much needed, before the locker room becomes unsalvageable.
“A losing streak like this, there’s urgency for sure,” Curry said. “Any time you [lose] this many in a row, it’s a problem that you gotta fix. You don’t want to develop a losing mentality at all, at any stretch in the season. That’s a stink in the locker room you don’t really want to have in there.”
Speaking of stink in the locker room, Green reportedly apologized to his teammates after his aggressive actions against the Timberwolves last week.
“Sources in the locker room said Green apologized and displayed contrition. He told the team his intentions were pure — protecting his teammate — but he took it too far,” Marcus Thompson of The Athletic reports.
