Portland Trail Blazers 2023 #3 pick Scoot Henderson talked about his ability to get downhill following last night’s 131-120 home loss vs. the Dallas Mavericks (13 points/3 rebounds/2 assists/1 block/5-10 FG/1-1 3-PT/2-2 FT).

(via Portland Trail Blazers):

Reporter: “Have you tried to attack the rim more lately? Because it does seem like you’re getting to the rim more.”

Henderson: “That’s what I do. I think I shied away from that. Trying to settle. Knowing my ability, I’m here for a reason, and that’s getting downhill, that’s knowing that nobody can stay in front of me while I’m trying to get downhill. When I shoot that pull-up, that’s the shot I like, but like I’ve been saying, nobody can stop me from trying to get downhill and making the next pass or whatever or finishing. So, I’ve just got to rely on my abilities.”
