Amazingly, LeBron is about to enter his 21st year in the NBA and on the NBA 2K digital court he is almost as impressive.
Through his consistency he has earned another impressive NBA 2K rating of 96, which Digital Marketing Director for 2K Games Ronnie Singh, better known as Ronnie 2K has broken down.
“He (LeBron James) has the longest sample size,” Ronnie 2K told Joey Mistretta during a recent interview. “He’s done it consistently for 20 years, he’s had very few injuries, at least extended ones, so it is kind of hard to change his rating because you sort of know who he is. We are sort of expecting him to be what he has been in year 21.
“It’s going to be hard for him to spike higher in rating, or dip way lower because it’s still LeBron James.”
In his 20th season, LeBron broke the all-time NBA scoring record and despite suffering multiple injuries, was one of the best players in the postseason.
King James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists on 50 percent shooting from the field and 32.1 from three in 55 games during the regular season.
The man is basically bionic at this point.
As well, sample size plays a big part of 2K ratings and can be seen with a player like Kawhi Leonard, who has been injured a lot these past few seasons but still managed to score a 94.
“Obviously it is a big sample size, there’s no bigger sample size than an entire career,” Ronnie 2K explained.”He’s [Kawhi Leonard] proven it, he’s done it for a long time,” Singh said. “I mean, there’s a lot of guys when they get injured, we don’t have a lot of sample size so we gotta go off of what we think their game will be… so he’s a really specific example of we gotta believe that the past is going to reflect the present.”
The highest rated player so far has been Finals MVP Nikola Jokic, who has been rated a 98.
