Ron Holland decommitted from Texas on Friday and is set to reopen his recruitment.
Holland is the No. 2 ranked player in the 2023 class.
“While this has been a difficult process, I have decided to decommit from University of Texas and reopen my recruitment. Texas will still be one of my top schools of choice,” wrote Holland on social media.
Holland initially chose the Longhorns over Arkansas and UCLA.
Texas also lost top-50 recruit A.J. Johnson earlier in the month.
