Could Ben Simmons leave Brooklyn before playing a single game for the Nets? That seems a possibility according to a new report.
The 25-year-old point guard was drawing interest from the Hawks before the 76ers made a deal with the Nets to trade him for James Harden in a multi-player trade.
It cannot be ruled out that Brooklyn could look to move Simmons this offseason and Atlanta would have a better chance of getting him due to his decreased value on the market.
Via Chris Kirschner of The Athletic:
“I’d also keep an eye on Simmons, too. Several people inside the Hawks’ organization wanted Simmons at the trade deadline. The price might not be as high to land him now, especially if Brooklyn decides to move on before he plays one game for the Nets.”
