Report: Anthony Bennett, Hapoel Jerusalem parted ways

Former NBA Draft overall pick Anthony Bennett and the Istraeli Basketball Premier League’s Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem have reportedly parted ways. 

Per a report provided by Johnny Askounis of EuroHoops.net, Bennett has sought an agreement with Hapoel Jerusalem to end their contract. The big man inked an offer sheet with the ball club in late August last year

He carved off a five-game average of 7.0 markers and 4.2 boards with the team in the Basketball Champions League. While in the domestic league, he put up 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists. 

A notable name coming from UNLV in the 2013 NBA Draft which includes Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, Utah Jazz’ Rudy Gobert and Miami Heat’s Victor Oladipo, Bennett was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first selection. In his four seasons in the league from 2013 to 2017, he played for the Cavs, Minnesota Timberwolves, Toronto Raptors, and Brooklyn Nets while averaging 4.4 points, 3.1 boards and 39 percent field goal shooting.
