The Milwaukee Bucks are planning to waive DeMarcus Cousins.

As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Bucks are leaning towards roster flexibility upon committing the move, as contracts in the league will be fully guaranteed on the upcoming Friday.

Cousins, who inked a non-guaranteed, $2 million contract with the Bucks in November, has been a solid addition as a replacement for the sidelined Brook Lopez and a decent backup for superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and fan favorite Bobby Portis. Through 16 games, he averaged 8.7 points, 5.5 boards, and 1.1 assists in 16.7 minutes.

With this strong showing as a role player for the defending champs, several teams needing a big man off the bench would certainly try to pursue the former All-star.
