The Warriors have liked what they have seen from Quinndary Weatherspoon and they officially kept him in the fold Friday, signing the guard to a two-way contract for the 2022-23 season.

The 25-year-old originally joined the Warriors on a 10-day contract right before Christmas and then signed a two-way contract as soon as the 10-day expired on Jan. 3.

Weatherspoon played in 11 games for the Warriors during the 2021-22 season, averaging 2.7 points in 6.6 minutes per contest. His most impressive performance of the season came in Golden State’s Christmas Day win over the Phoenix Suns when he scored six points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field in 14 minutes of action in the nine-point win.

When he wasn’t with the Warriors, Weatherspoon was dominating the G League for Santa Cruz, averaging 25.3 points in 20 games for the Sea Dubs.

In preparation for the upcoming 2022-23 season, Weatherspoon suited up during the NBA Summer League for the Warriors and averaged 10.0 points in 25.6 minutes over four games.
