The Detroit Pistons are bringing back their nostalgic threads from the Grant Hill era.

The franchise announced on Monday that their 90s teal uniforms are set to be replicated and adapted for the upcoming 2022-2023 season. It will serve as their classic jerseys based on the approval of the association.

Jerry Stackhouse, who started his career in Detroit donning the said throwback gear, was in attendance at the unveiling during a launch party at the Renaissance Center in Michigan. Meanwhile, the team’s recent lottery pick in Jaden Ivey served as the model of the uniform on Motown’s announcement via Twitter.

The Pistons are wearing the iconic jerseys for approximately 10 games in the next basketball year.

“To Pistons fans everywhere – we heard you, and this is for you,” said Mike Zavodsky, Chief Business Officer for the Detroit Pistons. “The teal jerseys represent a ‘colorful’ time in Pistons basketball and NBA history. We are thrilled to re-introduce the teal to a new generation of basketball fans, and can’t wait to see this version of Detroit Basketball suit up in them.”

The Pistons have worn the teal jerseys from 1996-2001, a timetable that featured some notable cagers of the game like Hill, Stackhouse, and Ben Wallace.
