Euroleague powerhouse Panathinaikos officially announced the signing of Stefan Jovic for the rest of the season, with an option for the 2022-23 season.
The veteran guard will offer a boost to the Greens’ perimeter rotation after spending most of the start of the season rehabbing from a muscle injury suffered that kept him sidelined for several weeks.
Jovic has a strong resume in the EuroLeague holding the record for most assists in a game (19), when he was playing for Crvena Zvezda back in 2015.
Jovic started his professional career with Crvenza Zvezda, before joining Basketball Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich in 2017. He stayed in Germany for two seasons, before jumping to the VTB League signing a contract with Khimk Moscow.
Jovic also represented Serbia at the EuroBasket 2017 where they won the silver medal, after losing in the final game to Slovenia. He was also with the Serbian national team at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
