Nikola Jokic was unable to carry the Nuggets to the second round of the playoffs. The Warriors eliminated Denver in Game 5 as the won the series 4-1.
The reigning NBA MVP averaged 31 points (58% field goals), 13.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists over the five playoff games but it wasn’t enough for his team to prevail.
This coming summer Jokic will be eligible to sign a supermax extension with the Nuggets. When asked about such possibility, the Serbian center revealed that he would accept it.
“I think if the offer is on the table, of course I’m going to accept it because I really like the organization, I really the people who work here,” he said.
“I’m really relationship with everybody from owner to let’s say equipment manager. I think we have something that we’re building and it actually feels really good.”
