Kanazawa Samuraiz (B3 League) agreed terms with 27-year old Ukrainian ex-international point guard Igor Boyarkin (182cm-84kg-1995, agency: BIG) for new 2022-23 season. Boyarkin played last season at Ternopil-TNEU in Ukrainian Superleague. In 31 games he had 7.8ppg, 2.7rpg, 3.9apg and 1.5spg.
His team made it to the Superleague Semifinals in 2014 and 2017.
The previous (2020-21) season he played at Kharkivski Sokoly (also in Superleague) where in 36 games he recorded 7.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.9apg and 1.3spg in that year.
He was also a member of Ukrainian international program for some years. Boyarkin played for Ukrainian Senior National Team between 2018 and 2019 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2015.
He represented Ukraine at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) five years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 10.1ppg, 3.4rpg, Assists-2 (6.6apg), 2.0spg, FGP: 38.7%, 3PT: 40.0%, FT: 78.9%.
Boyarkin has played also professionally for other Ukrainian teams like Kryvbas, BC Donetsk, Hoverla, Cherkasy and BK Donetsk 2nd team.
He was voted to Ukrainian Superleague All-Star Game back in 2017.
