Nerlens Noel’s $58 million lawsuit against Rich Paul and Klutch Sports Group was dismissed on Tuesday.
The case was sent to the NBPA’s arbitration system for further resolution.
Noel initially filed the lawsuit against Paul in 2021, alleging that his former agent did “little to no work” to negotiate contracts, engage teams, and look for endorsement deals on his behalf.
Noel’s attorney also argued that the player left a four-year, $70 million deal from the Mavs on the table following the 2016-17 season due to Paul’s advice. Noel was then “forced to sign a series of qualifying offers and league minimum contracts which were well below the true value of Noel’s services.”
Noel was most recently traded to the Pistons this summer.
