Giannis Antetokounmpo explained why he hasn’t worked out with other NBA players this offseason and has been randomly trolled by Evan Turner for it.
The two-time MVP revealed why he keeps to himself.
“I don’t know how to be phony,” Antetokounmpo said on the 48 Minutes Podcast. “I don’t know how to be fake. That’s why I kind of keep my distance, because I know that if I work out with people, it takes active players, it takes off my edge when I play against them.”
Former NBA guard Turner seemingly took a shot at Giannis following his comments.
“Ain’t nobody coming to Milwaukee to work out wit you and your brother,” he wrote on X.

Turner denied he was referring to Antetokounmpo after his initial tweet.
Now how y’all figure I was talkin bout buddy?
I know a lot of people in Milwaukee who I think nobody will go train with
Take it easy

He continued with yet another post where he said, “I hoop like Giannis for real.” When will the trolling end?!
Some NBA fans have roasted Turner for his antics and they didn’t take too kindly to him hating on one of the best players in the league.
Turner officially retired from the NBA back in 2020 and had a brief coaching stint with the Celtics since then.
On the same podcast, Giannis again shocked the world by doubling down on his comments about potentially joining another team.
“I’m a Milwuakee Buck, but most importantly “‘m a winner, The Greek Freak said. “..If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O’Brien I have to take that better situation.”
In case you missed it, Antetokounmpou recently told The New York Times that he if he doesn’t feel like “everybody’s going for a championship” then he won’t sign an extension with the franchise.
Incoming Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin has since responded to Giannis’ initial comments.
Could we see Giannis at another team in the near future?
