Markieff Morris To Return After Four-Month Absence With Whiplash

Miami Heat forward Markieff Morris has been cleared to play on Saturday night. This will be Morris’ first game since getting injured on November 8 in a game against the Denver Nuggets.

Late in the fourth quarter of that game, Morris delivered a hard foul to Nuggets center Nikola Jokic. Jokic reacted by shoving Morris to the floor. Morris was given a Flagrant 2 foul, while Jokic was assessed a technical foul. Both players were ejected.

Jokic was later suspended one game for his action. Morris has been out since, but is now set to make his return to the Heat lineup. In 10 games this season, Morris has averaged 7.7 points in 18.7 minutes per game.
