I’m sure there were many people out there who hoped this was going to be last season’s NBA Finals matchup. The Lakers have done well to weather the storm in light of their injuries to James, Trevor Ariza and Talen Horton-Tucker.
But of course, anytime this Lakers team loses, it gets amplified, whereas Milwaukee has had its best player all season and comes in under .500.
Milwaukee is just 1-3 ATS as a home favorite this season, while the Lakers are 1-2 ATS on the road.
The over is 9-6 in Lakers games, but just 4-10 in Bucks games, including 0-5 when the Bucks are at home.

Both teams will be much closer to full strength tonight, as Middleton is probable for the Bucks, as is Anthony Davis for the Lakers. It will be a good test for both sides, as I don’t believe the Bucks have had their core three players of Middleton, Giannis and Holiday since last season’s title run.
Davis back for the Lakers means everything for them. He helps stretch the floor and is their best paint defender to help stop Giannis driving to the rim.
