LeBron James Will Miss Lakers Game If It Conflicts With Bronny James USC Debut

Bronny James was recently cleared to return to playing basketball after suffering cardiac arrest over the summer. James will join USC for practices next week and will make his collegiate debut soon thereafter.

When the younger James does debut, his father will be there. LeBron James said he’d miss a Los Angeles Lakers game, if necessary to be at Bronny’s first game with the Trojans.

“Family over everything,” James said. The Lakers star also said he told his teammates of the situation on their flight to Oklahoma City for Thursday’s game.

USC is scheduled to play Gonzaga on Saturday, but it’s not expected James will play in that game. The next opportunity for James to debut would be Sunday, December 10 against Long Beach State. The Lakers, as is the entire NBA, are off that day, as it falls after the In-Season Tournament Final in Las Vegas.
