Former Lakers champion Lamar Odom, who played a significant role in the team’s success, took to X to commend the Lakers’ General Manager, Rob Pelinka, for his outstanding work.
“Rob did the damn thing props to the big guy!” he tweeted. Odom’s tweet came in response to a post by Lakers Lead, which listed the 2023-24 Lakers contracts, showcasing the significant cap space flexibility achieved by Pelinka in just eight months.
The tweet highlighted that the GM had transformed the Lakers’ cap situation from one of the worst to the best in the league.
The post also noted that Pelinka’s strategic cap management had positioned the Purple and Gold as one of the most flexible contenders in the league, making them well-prepared to pursue a superstar player should the right opportunity arise.
