Juan Toscano-Anderson is set to begin a new chapter of his career with the Lakers. He spent the last three years with the Warriors where he become a role player.
“Everybody wants to start. Let’s not sit here and act like guys don’t want to start,” the 29-year-old small forward said. “Now, is starting the biggest deal in the world? No. Everybody just wants to play I think everybody will bring a level of competitiveness because there’s opportunity there.
“Why would you come into a job like here, like there Lakers and come in here and be half as or not give your 100 every day. I know I can speak for myself as well as my other teammates who I’ve gotten to know over the course of the summer.
“Everybody’s very excited for the opportunities. So we’re going to compete. I know I want to start, but I’m not going to be mad if I don’t start. But yeah I would love to start. If the opportunity’s there, I’m going to try to seize it.”
Last season Toscano-Anderson averaged 4.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 13.6 minutes per game for Golden State.
