The Atlanta Hawks seem committed to trading Dejounte Murray before the deadline, and various trade scenarios involving him have been under discussion.
The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, and Detroit Pistons are among the five teams expected to negotiate with the Hawks for a trade involving Murray before the deadline.
While the San Antonio Spurs have been suggested as a potential destination for Murray, they currently lack the types of assets that Atlanta is reportedly seeking in a deal. The Brooklyn Nets don’t seem actively interested in pursuing Murray.
Murray, who signed a four-year, $114 million extension last offseason, will begin his new contract ahead of the 2024-2025 NBA season.
