Swingman Lonnie Walker is set to be re-evaluated on Thursday after exiting prematurely in the Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Walker IV, who was having a hot night with 12 points and three boards, was limping in pain after sustaining a left ankle sprain during the third quarter of the Wednesday match.
Per head coach Darvin Ham, the sprain was “mild” for Walker IV, but he will be under observation tomorrow to determine the severity. Per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Walker IV is not experiencing soreness from the injury.
The Lakers eventually fell to the T-Wolves, 113-118, despite solid nights of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
They will face the Sacramento Kings on Friday for their preseason finale before a much-anticipated opening night vs. reigning champ Golden State Warriors on Oct. 18.
