The Brooklyn Nets were unable to expand their Kyrie Irving trade with the Dallas Mavericks to include a third team and have finished their call with the league to make it official.
The Nets were said to be attempting to expand the deal to include the Toronto Raptors with interest in Fred VanVleet.
The Mavericks wanted to call in the trade by the end of the day on Monday in order to allow Irving to practice on Tuesday and play in Wednesday’s game.
The final trade is Irving and Markieff Morris to the Mavericks with Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a 2029 first round pick and two future second rounds picks going to the Nets.
