“It was special all the way around,” Irving said after the game, via the Nets.
It certainly was a special night for Irving as he became the first player in NBA history to have multiple 50+ point games on 75% shooting from three and 75% shooting from the field, per the NBA.
In total, Irving had 50 points, three rebounds, and six assists on 15-19 shooting from the field, 9-12 shooting from three, and 11-13 shooting from the line.
Irving was so efficient that his true-shooting percentage eclipsed the 100% threshold, per analyst Todd Whitehead.

The Nets are going to need Irving on the court if they hope to make it out of the play-in tournament.
Currently, the Nets (33-33) are ranked eighth in the Eastern Conference, 5 1/2 games away from the six-seed and 2 1/2 games away from the 11-seed.
