Kristaps Porzingis leaves Pacers game with eye injury

The Pacers play fast and loose and if you’re not careful, you might just get caught in the face.

Midway through the first quarter, former Celtic Aaron Nesmith poked current Celtic Kristaps Porzingis in the eye attempting to grab an offensive rebound.

Porzingis crumpled to the floor and stayed down for several minutes during a timeout. When he got to the bench, he had a visible scratch/bruise on his upper eye lid with the Celtics medical staff applying eye drops.

He subsequently returned to the floor, but was visibly uncomfortable and signaled to the bench for a sub. He left the game with two points, three rebounds, and a block and steal and is questionable to return with eye irritation.

Porzingis was seen warming up at halftime, but did not play in the second half. Head coach Joe Mazzulla did not have an update after the Celtics 118-101 win.
