Phew.
Late in Boston’s 105-98 win over Dallas in Game 2, Kristaps Porzingis wrestled with PJ Washington for a defensive rebound and got his legs tangled up a bit on the fall. Just under two minutes later, he left the game favoring his left leg.
After a brief stint in the locker room, he returned to the bench and was seen stretching out his left calf with an elastic band.
After the game, head coach Joe Mazzulla was asked about the injury. His response to whether or not there’s any concern with his availability for Game 3 on Wednesday:
Porzingis was a little more cagey about the fall. “I feel good. Feeling good. I don’t think it’s anything serious,” Porzingis said after finishing with 12 points, four rebounds, and two blocks in over 23 minutes of play. “But we’ll look at it tomorrow and go from there. But all good.”
Porzingis wouldn’t reveal specifically what the injury was but said it wasn’t related to his previous soleus strain. Just said he felt something and was a little limited after. Also added he would’ve died out there and will do everything to be ready for G3. pic.twitter.com/eFbH4gbdcB

The Boston big man will get imaging on the tweak that is not related to the right soleus strain he suffered in the first round, but sounded confident that he’ll play in Game 3.
