Jalen Brunson at the Knicks was undoubtedly the most important trade for New York. The ideal solution would be to see Brunson play alongside Barrett and Randle. Until a few weeks ago this seemed unthinkable. Instead, the pre-season games proved the opposite.
Randle was found excited about Brunson’s, both on and off the pitch.
“He is a really good player, of course. But he’s a good person, a good human being at his core, “Randle said via SNY’s Ian Begley.” I said it on day one, it’ll be great for our team, but it’ll be even better for our locker room”.
Barrett also had good words for Brunson:
“He’s definitely a leader,” Barrett said via Begley. “… There were times when he came up to me and we had a good interaction. We have good communication between him and me. I think he’s starting to get contagious. Alone in the whole team. So he was really nice”.
